[Re]master01

In exactly the same way old recordings can be remastered using digital technology, Audemars Piguet has transposed a 1943 chronograph to a watch for the 2020s. Many of the original's distinctive features remain, in particular the two-tone case in steel and pink gold, the olive-shaped pushers, the teardrop lugs and the chamfered crown, as well as the champagne dial sporting numerals in an Art Deco font. Aligning this [Re]master01 with contemporary tastes are the larger 40mm diameter and a modified subdial layout for improved readability. The movement is also bang up-to-date: a new-generation automatic chronograph calibre with column wheel and flyback function, wound by an oscillating weight in the same pink gold as the crown and pushers. Proposed as a limited edition of 500 pieces.
